Bow Wow and Timbaland

Bow Wow is barking back at Timbaland over a potential Verzuz challenge.

The rapper and producer are at odds after Bow Wow brushed off the popular clash series, saying it would be a “waste of time.” Timbaland, who started Verzuz with Swizz Beatz, questioned whether he had the 20 hits necessary to participate in the competition. “He mite not have 20 n the bag,” Timbaland commented on a post from The Shade Room.

But Bow Wow didn’t take kindly to Timbo’s words and clapped back at the super-producer. “You been drinking too much Ciroc…. 20? Timbo you betta stop playing w/ me,” he said. “I can give you 10 before i hit my 3rd album. The Bow Wow era was nothing to play w/ Ima let the people tell you about me tho.”

He later tweeted, “Yo! @Timbaland said i might not have 20 songs to do a verzuz… i LAUGHED.”

Fans rushed to Bow Wow’s defense. He retweeted one who shared a potential set list spanning his 20-year career, and suggested that he had even more hits. “What about: Oh i think they like me. Where the party at remix. Destiny child remix. Ima flirt. Theres more…. 3-6 mafia side to side we past 20 right?” he asked.

Following all the support for Bow Wow, Timbaland said he was down to discuss a potential matchup. “@shadmoss ok let’s celebrate this for the culture @verzuztv let’s talk young king !!!” he said.

Bow Wow has yet to respond, but he previously claimed he wasn’t interested in taking part in Verzuz and had shut down suggestions for potential opponents including Omarion, Chingy, Romeo, and Soulja Boy.

“Waste of time. Im not doing verzuz,” he said, adding, “Theres no one for me to match up with.”
