Eminem and Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey’s memoir is on the way, but not everyone is excited about it.

According to Us Weekly, Eminem is afraid that his ex could very well tell all about their past in her upcoming book, The Meaning of Mariah Carey.

“Eminem’s Achilles heel has always been Mariah Carey. They had a very toxic relationship,” an insider tells the outlet. “He knows that Mariah is going to say very negative things about him. He is expecting the onslaught, and almost welcomes it.”

There are things that he does not want out there, including intimate details about their relationship. “Marshall is stressed out that Mariah is going to say shit that he was bad in bed or a selfish lover because he has always been very insecure about that,” adds the insider. “She knows that.”

Eminem and Mariah’s rumored romance didn’t end well, as documented through their music. Marshall Mathers took shots at his ex on “Superman” and “When the Music Stops” off his 2002 album The Eminem Show, while Mariah fired back on “Clown.” “You should’ve never intimated we were lovers,” she sang on the song off 2002’s Charmbracelet. “When you know very well we never even touched each other.”

In a 2002 interview with Rolling Stone, Eminem addressed the Grammy-winning songstress. “I don’t want to say anything disrespectful because I respect her as a singer, but on the whole personal level, I’m not really feeling it. I just don’t like her as a person,” he said. “I gotta be honest; I learned a lesson from it: Don’t’ believe the hype. I have respect for her, but she doesn’t really have it all together. I’ll just say that and that she’s a beautiful woman.”

Seven years later, Em dissed Mariah and her ex-husband Nick Cannon on “Bagpipes From Bagdad,” which inspired her 2009 hit “Obsessed.”

In December 2019, Slim Shady reignited their feud by dissing Mariah and Nick on Fat Joe’s “Lord Above.” “I know me and Mariah didn’t end on a high note / But that other dude’s whipped, that pussy got him neutered,” he rapped. “Tried to tell him this chick’s a nut job ‘fore he got his jewels clipped / Almost got my caboose kicked, fool, quit, you not gon’ do shit / I let her chop my balls off too ‘fore I lost to you, Nick.”

The Meaning of Mariah Carey hits bookstores Sept. 29.
